Most of the students staying in the institute’s hostel alleged that their hostel and the campus had become a part of electioneering. Not only loud propagandas on public address systems disturbed them from morning to late night, but also some of the enthusiastic students-cum-party workers who were participating in the campaigning had converted the hostel rooms into factories for arranging poll publicity materials.

Electioneering cuased a lot of problems to the students who preferred to prepare for the term tests to be held from November 2. Surprisingly, the authorities of the Institute did not taken any step to restrict these disturbing activities on the campus.

The students are also unhappy, as they would not be able to take part in the programmes at the Antaragni-06 to be held at IIT-K due to their term tests.

Incidentally, the date of the term test collides with the date of cultural programme. Both the events are to start from November 2.

Though the students have not received any formal invitation from the IIT-K for participating at the Antaragni-6, they have the information that for the first time they have been invited to the festival.

There is disappointment among the students who feel that they are missing an opportunity to exhibit their inherent talents amidst a vast gathering of students from inter-state institutes.

However, some of students have planned to participate in the festival as most of the programmes would be held in the second half of the day or in the night.
