A 39-year-old man from Faridabad became this year's first swine flu (H1N1) victim on Tuesday night at the Deepak Memorial hospital in east Delhi. His samples had tested positive for the H1N1 virus.

According to Delhi health officials, he was admitted to Deepak Memorial hospital in east Delhi and he died there on Tuesday night.
"He was brought to the hospital last week from Faridabad. The samples tested positive for swine flu at an authorised laboratory. He died after 10 pm on Tuesday night," said a health official.
Five swine flu (H1N1) cases were reported in Delhi on Tuesday, taking the total number of cases reported in January to 14.
A 51-year-old woman died on December 24, 2014 due to swine flu at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.
