ALL-INDIA Congress Committee General secretary Digvijay Singh led a delegation of Congress members to the Dindori Superintendent of Police on Thursday, alleging that Bajrang Dal activists harassed Banjara tribesmen of Malwa last week. He demanded action against the saffron activists.

The Banjara tribesmen were herding about 1200 cattle, and on their way to Chhattisgarh the Bajrang Dal activists harassed them in Dindori district. In an informal talk with newsmen in village Gugri, some 25 km from Jabalpur on Friday, Digvijay Singh said the Bharatiya Janata Party Government is not doing any thing for tribals.

He also accused the Gondwana Gantantra Party (GGP) of misleading tribals. Singh said he was away from the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee activities only to give chance to other party leaders.

To a query whether the Congress would share seats with the communist party in forthcoming assembly elections particularly in West Bengal, he said the matter would be dealt with the PCC in respective states.
