The 35-year-old has been more prolific at Test level, but his one-day experience may help the younger players in the side.

Despite playing in the 1992 Cup and for the 1996 winning side, the veteran was left out of the 1999 squad.

Although he received a recall to the Test side in 2001, it was not until the end of 2002 that he was brought back into the one-day fold.
