The accused, Surinder Singh, was caught dumping waste from eight trucks by an NGO worker.

“The trucks were dumping industrial waste. It’s harmful for the area and causes irreversible damage to soil,” said Vivek Kamboj of NGO Haryali.

HSIIDC manager Rampal Singh said the contractor was refused from dumping in Bandhwari. “He had permission from the landowner to dump garbage on the vacant plot. We didn't take action since it wasn't the contractor's fault,” said Rampal Singh.
