Mallaiya inspects Udai cricket preparations

URBAN ADMINISTRATION Minister Jayant Mallaiya today visited the Bab-e-Aali Stadium to inspect the ongoing preparation for the All India 31st Udai Iftekhar Memorial Cricket Tournament to be organised from March 31. For the first time any organising committee of All India cricket tournament has announced to award Rs 1 lakh cash to the winner.

URBAN ADMINISTRATION Minister Jayant Mallaiya today visited the Bab-e-Aali Stadium to inspect the ongoing preparation for the All India 31st Udai Iftekhar Memorial Cricket Tournament to be organised from March 31. For the first time any organising committee of All India cricket tournament has announced to award Rs 1 lakh cash to the winner.

During his visit, Mallaiya directed the officials to give best of cricket facilities to the players and others for the tournament. According to the sources, various international players are expected to participate in the tournament.

The names will be disclosed very soon. Teams including Indian Airlines, Indian Navy, LBS Delhi, Sonat Club, Baroda XI and others will participate in the tournament.

Final match will be played on April 8. “We are working hard to make the tournament a grand success,” said BDCA vice-president Aruneshwar Singhdeo. On the occasion, Sports Minster Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Mayor Sunil Sood, BDCA chairman Dhruv Narayan Singh, BDCA secretary Dr Shafquat Mohammad Khan, secretary Iftekhar Academy Hamidullah Khan ‘Mamu’, organising secretary Rajat Mohan Verma accompanied Mallaiya.
