In his complaint, Harender Singh, assignment manager of Delta Guards Private Limited, which had a contract with PGIMS to provide cleanliness manpower, had alleged that the accused, Som Nath Chawla, had demanded a bribe to clear a pending bill of Rs 65 lakh.

As soon as the money was handed over to Chawla on Tuesday, an SVB team caught him and booked him under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
