Gandhi visited the Hazrat Shalim Miyan Madarsa here and inquired about the facilities there.

While coming out of the madrasa, he broke the security cordon and mingled with people, who had gathered to have a glimpse of him in nearby houses.

The security personnel had a tough time managing the onlookers.

Gandhi will be addressing party workers later in the day.

Earlier on May 11, the AICC general secretary had given the police a slip and rode pillion on a motorcycle to the epicentre of violent clashes in Greater Noida and met farmers protesting Uttar Pradesh government's land acquisition policy.
