Sensex ends 100 points lower

The benchmark Sensex went below 14,000 points level before ending 100 points lower on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Tuesday on frantic selling by funds and general investors.

The 30-share index, Sensex, fell by 99.72 points at 14,090.98, after touching the day's low of 13,957.70 and a high of 14,368.74.

Similarly, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty fell below psychological level of 4000 points and ended at 4044.55, showing a loss of 13.74.
