Shiv Charan Mathur was on Friday sworn in as Assam governor.
Gauhati highcourt judge Aftab Hussain Saikia administered the oath of office to Mathur at a function held at the Rabindra Bhavan in Guwahati.
Assam Chief Minister, Tarun Gogoi, his cabinet colleagues and top government, police and army officials attended the function.
