Oscar-winning 53-year-old actor Christoph Waltz is all set to make his directorial debut. The Austrian actor who won the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award this year for his role in Inglourious Basterds, will direct a German-language movie Up and Away, reported Contactmusic.

Waltz has adapted Meike Winnemuth and Peter Praschl’s novel Auf und Davon for the movie. The actor is also considering taking on a supporting role in the film.
