From crystal chandeliers to vintage-inspired decor, Kangana Ranaut’s grand family home offers a glimpse into her elegant and classic interior aesthetic.

Kangana Ranaut’s family home reflects a grand, classic aesthetic, with ornate chandeliers, statement furniture, patterned walls and traditional architectural details coming together across the interiors. From a dramatic staircase and formal dining room to a spacious bedroom and an imposing white exterior, the home has a distinctly elegant, old-world character. Instagram design page Elsa Design Co. shared a detailed tour of the politician and actor’s family home on August 18, offering a glimpse inside its grand interiors. Grand white exterior with European-inspired details

The home makes a striking first impression with its expansive white facade, defined by tall arched openings, elaborate mouldings and curved balconies. White balustrades line the upper levels, while the entrance features a towering arch that adds to the sense of scale.

The symmetrical architecture, large windows and layered cornices give the property a stately appearance. Even the entrance doors follow the classic aesthetic, featuring white frames and multiple glass panels.

Inside, the staircase is one of the home's most eye-catching features. The walls are finished in soft white and detailed with traditional panel mouldings, while a large crystal chandelier hangs from the high ceiling above the stairwell.

The chandelier, with its multiple curved arms and crystal detailing, adds a luxurious touch without overpowering the otherwise understated colour palette. Recessed ceiling lights provide additional illumination, while the dark wooden staircase railing creates contrast against the pale interiors.

The dining area takes a more dramatic approach to the home's classic interiors. A large wooden dining table is surrounded by dark, traditional-style chairs, creating a formal setting for family meals and gatherings.

The walls combine deep green panelling on the lower half with a light wallpaper featuring repeated botanical motifs above it. A statement chandelier with multiple cream lampshades and cascading crystal details hangs above the table, becoming the focal point of the room.

French-style doors and curated wall decor

Another section of the home features a white arched doorway with glass-panelled French-style doors. The doorway opens towards the dining space, creating a visual connection between the rooms while maintaining their individual character.

The adjoining staircase wall has been decorated with an eclectic collection of framed photographs and decorative plates. The arrangement adds a personal, lived-in quality to the otherwise carefully styled interiors.

The home's bar or serving area carries a more eclectic European café-inspired aesthetic. A curved marble counter with dark wooden cabinetry sits beneath hanging lantern-style lights, while glassware is displayed on open shelves.

The wall behind the counter features a collection of vintage-style signs, framed illustrations, decorative plates and artwork. Pieces with references to cafés and Paris add a playful character to the space and break away from the more formal styling seen elsewhere in the home.

A calm bedroom in grey and white

The bedroom follows a softer, more restrained palette. Grey-and-white striped wallpaper covers the walls above traditional panelling, while a blue-grey upholstered bed with a tufted headboard anchors the room.

A white bedside table sits beside the bed, topped with a patterned table lamp and a small framed photograph. Floral bedding adds a subtle decorative element, while the combination of muted colours and classic furniture keeps the room comfortable and understated.

Across the spaces visible in the home, the interiors combine traditional architectural elements with statement lighting, patterned wallpapers, dark wood furniture and carefully chosen decorative pieces. Chandeliers appear repeatedly, from the staircase to the dining room and bar area, reinforcing the home's luxurious aesthetic.

At the same time, details such as family photographs, vintage-inspired artwork and decorative objects give the interiors a personal touch. The result is a family home that leans into grandeur while retaining the warmth and character of a lived-in space.
