For Monday, Shilpa performed Viparita Naukasana in her home garden and asked us to push our bodies and challenge it every day.

When we have worked for a long time without a break, it is natural for the body to give up easily. The body asks for rest and a break – however, it is then that we need to push our bodies and challenge it to work out more to have a healthier body and mind. Shilpa Shetty, who keeps sharing snippets of her workout diaries on her Instagram profile, shared how she started her Monday routine and it is replete with fitness inspo. Shilpa is a fitness enthusiast and hardly takes a day off from her workout routine. However, when it comes to the body avoiding to work out, she believes that it is exactly then we need to push it and make it more power-packed with an intense regime.

Shilpa shared a short video of herself working out in her home garden and it is making us take notes of fitness from the actor. In the video, Shilpa can be seen performing Viparita Naukasana. Shilpa started by lying on her stomach and then slowly taking her arms and legs upwards all the while balancing the body on her stomach. In the later part of the video, Shilpa can be seen pushing her alternate hands and legs upwards and working out. Shilpa rounded off her yoga routine by lying down and resting on her yoga mat.

With the video, Shilpa also gave us fresh fitness motivation to follow - “The body always needs a little bit of a push to follow a routine when it has worked without much of a break. Feeling a little sluggish or lazy may feel natural, but never give in to your body’s demands completely. Give it enough rest, but don’t let it become inactive. So, today I spent a few minutes practicing the Viparita Naukasana. It may not look like a very heavy routine, but it’s a power-packed one.” Take a look:

Viparita Naukasana helps in strengthening the lower back, pelvic region, shoulders, arms, and hips. It also helps in improving the flexibility of the spine, thereby improving the range of motion of the body. Viparita Naukasana also helps in massaging the abdominal organs and boosting digestion.
