The state police on Sunday gave a clean chit to Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA from Kalpi (Jalaun district) Chote Singh in rape case.

Special DG Brij Lal on Sunday said that the allegations made by Rajo alias Raj Rani, resident of Ram Chabutra town in Jalaun district, against the BSP MLA were baseless. "She is trying to malign the image of the MLA as well as the state government," he said.
Rajo has alleged that Nanak Chand, a close associate of the MLA, raped her in 2006. She accused the MLA of instigating his associate to outrage her modesty. She had registered an FIR against Nanak Chand under section 376/506/427 IPC at Kalpi police station.
On August 3, 2008, Rajo lodged a complaint that her daughter Javitri was kidnapped, raped and murdered by the supporters of the MLA. On January 23, 2010 Rajo lodged another FIR stating that her son Ajay Babu was kidnapped and killed by the supporters of the MLA.
On February 9, Rajo along with a Buddhist monk Bhante Dhammratan and five other people launched indefinite hunger strike on the premises of Jalaun district collectorate demanding justice. The main demands of Rajo were arrest of the BSP MLA, probe into the rape case, action against the culprits accused in the gangrape of her daughter Javitri and action against the culprits who kidnapped and killed her son.
On Saturday, the condition of Rajo and others sitting on indefinite hunger strike started deteriorating. The medical officer examined them. On the report of the medical officer, the district administration carried out forced feeding and admitted them in the district hospital.
Brij Lal said that the district police investigated the rape charge made by Rajo against Nanak Chand. During probe it was found that the charge was baseless. "The district police dismissed her charge and submitted final report in the district court," he said.
"On September 27, 2008 body of a girl was found lying in Ghatampur area of Kanpur district. Rajo identified it as that of her missing daughter. A FIR under section 302/201 IPC was registered at Ghatampur police station and probe was handed over to CBCID," Brij Lal said and added, "Rajo did not cooperate with the police in the investigation. The CB-CID approached her for DNA test but she turned down their plea. The probe was still continuing."
On the kidnapping and murder of Ajay Babu (Rajo's son), Brij Lal said, "Ajay worked as cleaner of a truck and died in a road accident. On January 23, 2010 Rajo handed a complaint to in-charge of Akbarpur police station in Ramabi Nagar district that her son died in a road accident near Jaunpur. After three months she submitted a petition at Kalpi police station regarding kidnapping and murder of her son. An FIR was registered by the police under section 364/392/201 against Pheku and Munna, the drivers of the truck. During investigation it was found that Ajay died in road accident due to negligence of the driver," he said.
