4 cylinders seized from Kalyan house
Initial reports suggest the blast was a result of cylinder leakage
One woman died while eleven others were injured in a cylinder blast in Kalyan on Monday morning.

The victim is Tarabai Gaikwad,70. The eleven injured have been identified as Alka Dhangar,30, Jyostna Dhangar,16, Ketan Dhangar,7, Shabana Shaikh,35, Salim Shaikh, 40, Rehana Shaikh,10, Afriya Shaikh,15, Vibhishan Avre,50, Aruna Avre,38, Dhanashree Avre,18 and Kirti Avre, 16. All of them are residents of Aadharwadi .
According to the police, the incident took place at Salim Shaikh’s house at Dr Ramabai Ambedkar Nagar in Aadharwadi around 6am. Fire officials said the blast was a result of cylinder leakage. Shabana had tied a cloth around the gas pipe, said a source.

“We are found four cylinders in the house. The punchnama is still going on,” said a police officer.
V Phulkar, additional commissioner of police, zone -3, said, “Some of the injured have been rushed to Sion hospital. Further probe is on”.
