Fire breaks out in godown in Mumbai’s Malad; no one injured

It took around two hours to douse the blaze in the godown located near Bombay Talkies, officials said.

A fire broke out in a godown behind Bombay Talkies in Malad (west) in the early hours of Thursday. No one was injured in the incident.

The fire started around at 4.30am, fire officials said, adding that four fire engines, one water tanker, and an ambulance were sent to the spot.

Initial reports indicated that no one was trapped in the fire. Later, after the fire was put out, fire-fighters scanned the premises and also confirmed that no one was missing or injured.
