Girl’s mom to approach SC

Avisha Kulkarni, Adishree Gopalkrishnan’s mother, whose review petition was dismissed by the high court on Monday, said she would approach the Supreme Court.
On August 25, she had filed a review petition after her first petition against Vibgyor High School for expelling Adishree. It was dismissed by the HC. Adishree had approached the court after the school expelled her because her mother had protested against the school decision to hike fees. “As soon as I get the order in hand, I will approach the SC,” she said.
Other parents commiserated with Kulkarni on the court’s dismissal of the petition. “This is unfortunate,” said Jayant Jain, president of the Forum for Fairness in Education. “They should take the matter to the SC.”
“This means that the next parent who has a problem with a school will not get any help. It’s a dangerous precedent,” said Sanjita Prasad, parent of a former Vibgyor student.
