A Unani doctor was arrested, on Saturday, in Malad, for allegedly molesting a 39 year old woman.
The victim, who is from Malad, had lodged a complaint with the Dindoshi police on Friday. Shabid Ali Qureshi (34) runs a clinic near Tipco Residency in Malad (East). The victim, who was suffering from back pain, had visited Qureshi on Friday morning.
When she was called into the doctor’s cabin, she was reportedly molested after which she rushed home. She had been going to Qureshi’s clinic for the past two years, said the police.
“The victim told her husband about the incident and they lodged a complaint,” said Vinayak Kakade, senior inspector.
The victim’s brother in law Hitesh Ojha, went to the doctor on Saturday but Qureshi denied the charges.
Qureshi has been arrested for outraging the modesty of a woman.
