Unaided schools move HC

The Unaided Schools Forum (USF), representing 139 private unaided schools affiliated to boards such as CBSE, ICSE, IB, IGCSE, CIE, have moved the Bombay high court seeking complete independence from interference by the state government in their functioning.

A division bench of justice BH Marlapalle and justice Nishita Mhatre directed the state government to file an affidavit in reply to the petition. The bench also slapped a fine of Rs4,000 on the state government for failing to file the reply although time was sought on three occasions earlier.
