Kishore Kumar: the man who sang some of the best Hindi songs on friendship

Most of us are celebrating Friendship Day today, dedicating songs to our beloved friends. Interestingly, the day also marks the 84th birth anniversary of the singer of some of the most touching Hindi songs on friendship - Diye Jalte Hain, Ye Dosti and more.

Being the first Sunday of August, the youth is busy celebrating Friendship Day.

Interestingly, the day also marks the 84th birth anniversary of Kishore Kumar - the man who gave his voice to some of the sweetest Hindi songs on friendship - Diye Jalte Hain, Phool Khilte Hain, Badi Mushkil Se Magar Duniya Me Dost Milte Hain.

The song featured in starring Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna-starrer Namak Haram (1973).

The actor-singer has also crooned for Ye Dosti in Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Sanjeev Kumar-starrer Sholay. The song Ye Dosti Hum Nahi Todenge was sung by the legendary singer.

Amitabh Bachchan's Yaaraana (1980) also had a song dedicated to friendship, Tere Jaisa Yaar Kaha, Kaha Aisa Yaarana. Kishore Kumar made the song one of the most famous amongst friends with his voice.

Kishore Kumar also sang Bane Chahe Dushman Zamaana Humara, Salmat Rahe Dostana Humara from Amitabh Bachchan, Shatrughan Sinha-starrer Dostana (1980).

Feroz Khan, Vinod Khanna-starrer Qurbani (1980) also featured a song on the bond between pals. Kishore Kumar lended his voice to the song Tujhpe Qurbaan Meri Jaan.
