India look to seal their berth in the Women’s Hockey World Cup 2018 quarterfinals as they take on Italy in the cross-over match on Tuesday. The Indian women’s hockey team suffered a shock defeat against Ireland but two draws against England and USA in the group stage handed them a second chance to clinch a spot in the last-8 of the tournament. If India win, they will take on Ireland in the quarterfinals.

The live telecast of the match will start at 10:30 pm on July 31 (Tuesday). The match can be seen live on Star Sports 2 and Star Sports 2 HD while live streaming will be available on Hotstar. You can also follow our live blog of the match on www.hindustantimes.com.

India finished third in the Pool B with two points -- behind top-ranked Ireland (six points) and second-placed England (five) and ahead of the United States (2) with two draws and a loss. India finished third on superior goal difference.

Italy, who finished second in Pool A, will look to make a strong comeback after their morale-shattering 1-12 defeat against world No.1 the Netherlands in their final pool game. The Dutch produced a stunning win to set a new record in terms of the biggest ever victory at a Women’s World Cup.
