Bihar cabinet nod to ADB loan proposals

The Nitish Kumar government today approved availing Rs 1653.47 crore loan from Asian Development Bank (ADB) for construction of 354.07 km-long roads under the state highway project-II in Bihar.

The Nitish Kumar government on Tuesday approved availing Rs 1653.47 crore loan from Asian Development Bank (ADB) for construction of 354.07 km-long roads under the state highway project-II in Bihar.

A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of the state cabinet presided over by Kumar himself, official sources said.

Under the project, state highways would be constructed between Bihta and Sarmera, Nasriganj and Sakri, Mohammedpur-Chapra and Birpur and Udakishunganj, the sources said.

The cabinet also approved proposals for tribal development projects for 2010-11 and 2011-12, the sources added.
