Govt to come out with a policy on mid-day meal scheme: Nitish

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said the state government would soon come out with a policy for better and efficient implementation of mid-day meal scheme in the schools and that it would consider bringing an amendment to the Property Defacement Act, 1985.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday said the state government would soon come out with a policy for better and efficient implementation of mid-day meal scheme in the schools and that it would consider bringing an amendment to the Property Defacement Act, 1985.

Both the issues -- mid-day meal and Property Defacement Act -- were discussed in the legislative assembly after which he had promised to convene an all-party meeting to discuss the issues threadbare, Kumar told reporters.

Kumar said all parties -- JD (U), BJP, RJD, CPI, CPI-M, Congress and LJP -- participated in the meeting and expressed their views on both the issues.
