Photos: India logs 31,118 single day Covid-19 cases; tally at 9.4 million

India’s overall coronavirus cases reached 94,62,809 including 4,35,603 active cases and 88,89,585 recoveries. With 482 new deaths, the cumulative toll has now mounted to 1,37,621. The Union Health Ministry announced these figures for the previous 24 hour period in its daily health update on December 1. With this, India has recorded 24 days of less than 50,000 cases of Covid-19 reported in a day. The last time daily new cases crossed the 50,000-threshold was on November 7. The health ministry also said that India continues to sustain its shedding of active cases which now make up just 4.60% of total cases.
