The Juvenile Justice Board also said the minority of the sixth accused was proved. Reports of the five adult accused being assaulted in Tihar jail also emerged. On March 11 accused Ram Singh commited suicide in Tihar jail leaving justice, in part, eluded.

After the case being deferred multiple times by the Juvenile Justice Board, on August 31 it convicted the minor for gangrape and murder and awarded him a three year term at a probation home. Now all eyes are on the Saket Court which is to finally pronounce its verdict in the case today.
