Photos | Kolkata, Kochi fans celebrate Argentina's FIFA World Cup victory

Thousands took to the streets of Kochi in Kerala and Kolkata in Bengal Monday to celebrate Argentina's dramatic FIFA World Cup final win over France in Qatar the night before. Football fans - old and young, and men, women and children - burst firecrackers, shouted slogans in support of Argentina captain Lionel Messi, who is expected to retire from international football after winning the last major accolade in his already trophy-laden cabinet. The South Americans were held to a pulsating 3-3 draw in normal play and held their nerve to beat defending champions France 4-2 in the penalty shoot-out that followed.
