The heavy rains threw life out of gear in Lucknow as parts of the city reeled under severe waterlogging. The incessant rain also took the life of 9 people as a wall collapsed in a residential area. The Lucknow District Magistrate has ordered closure of all private and government schools owing to heavy rainfall. In the 24-hours between Thursday 8.30 am to Friday 8.30 am, Lucknow recorded 160.3 mm rainfall.
