Sanju Samson's century, followed by some clinical bowling led by spinners Varun Chakravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi, helped India beat South Africa by 61 runs in the first T20I in Durban. Samson's 107 off 50 balls helped India to a score of 202/8 batting first. Chakravarthy and Bishnoi then stifled the South African middle order and they were eventually all out for just 141 runs in 17.5 overs.(AFP)

Suryakumar then fell at the end of an extraordinarily long over filled with extras from Patrick Kruger after which Tilak Varma stood with Samson as he raised his century. Samson raced to his century in just 47 balls and his innings included seven fours and a whopping 10 sixes. He had scored 111 in 47 balls in India's last T20I and is thus the first from the country to score centuries in consecutive matches in the format. (AFP)
