The 60th annual Grammy Awards turned a platform for artists to address sexual harassment, President Trump, immigration and gun violence. Dozens of performers and attendees also wore or held white roses Sunday in support of the Time's Up movement.

The feel-good Bruno Mars, who has revived retro funk and R&B for a new generation, swept the 60th Grammy Awards in a surprise snub for the hip-hop world, which had hoped for a major breakthrough on the music industry’s biggest night. Overall, the usual wacky carpet at the Grammys was more subdued than in years past. There was plenty of black, both traditional tuxedos and dresses and more edgy outfits. But there was also lots of color; Andra Day did it beautifully in bright pink for a long dress with red trim, tuxedo lapels and pocket details. Her hair was piled high in a beehive.
