Talking to mediapersons at Anandpur Sahib, Chandumajra said Canada was a democratic country and the Justin Trudeau government should not have banned Capt rallies.

“I will raise the issue in the Lok Sabha and request the Centre to take up the matter with the Candian government at diplomatic level to prevent such bans in future,” Chandumajra said.

He said in a democratic country everyone should have freedom to hold rallies.

Chandumajra said there was no foodgrain scam in Punjab and both the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) were making undue hue and cry over the issue.

He said all efforts should be made to bring the Kohinoor back from Britain.
