FIR lodged against pharmacist

Police lodged an FIR under Section 409 (criminal breach of trust by public servant) against the accused pharmacist who received a suspension order for siphoning off a sum of around Rs 19 lakh.

Police lodged an FIR under Section 409 (criminal breach of trust by public servant) against the accused pharmacist who received a suspension order for siphoning off a sum of around Rs 19 lakh. Meanwhile, accused Baldev Singh is on the run since he received the suspension order.

"We made sure that an FIR is filed against the accused for the crime he has committed," said senior medical officer Nishan Singh.

Baldev Singh was working with the Mansa civil hospital as a pharmacist and was accused by an audit team of siphoning off around Rs 19 lakh. The accused however cried foul and alleged that senior doctors in the hospital had hatched a conspiracy to settle scores with him.
