All students at the Government Primary School Badali at Amloh block in Fatehgarh district are forced to study in one room as five other rooms are in dilapidated condition.

The students of Class 1 to 5 are forced to sit in one room for last one year. The school built in 1958 had three rooms earlier and in 2003, three more rooms were built with the help of the then MLA Sadhu Singh Dharmsot.

School incharge Jaspal Kaur said, "Due to unsafe condition, we cannot put the life of kids in danger. We have written to higher officials many times, however, they haven't replied yet. We are writing to them again."

When asked, district education officer (elementary) Malkit Singh said, "I am not aware of the issue and only the Public Works Department can tell about the condition of the school rooms. If the rooms are unsafe, we will make sure that they get repaired soon."
