Police have registered a case under Section 382 (theft after preparation made for causing death, hurt or restraint in order to the committing of the theft) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the unknown robbers.

Four youth, with covered faces, stepped out. Two of them had weapons. They thrashed Kumar and robbed Rs 9,800 and two mobile phones from him and his colleague Abhidesh, of Uttar Pradesh (UP), and fled when another car reached the spot.
This is the second such robbery incident in the past 10 days, on the highway. Earlier, on October 9, a Honda City car was looted by two robbers from a Phagwara-based software engineer. Police are yet to make any headway in that case as well.
