Dora is Nayanthara’s second horror thriller, the first one being Maya.

Leading Tamil heroine Nayanthara, who has been called lady superstar by the trade, is all set for the release of her next female-centric horror thriller Dora. Director Doss Ramasamy says that his crew was amazed by the dedication of Nayanthara.

“As a director, I just asked her to bring out swag as she plays the main lead in the film but the entire crew was overwhelmed by her effort and detailing for the character,” says Doss Ramasamy. The director also adds that Nayanthara sat with costume designer Anu Vardhan to get the right outfit and she also insisted on wearing a spectacle to bring out natural innocence to the character.

“In the film, Nayanthara plays an innocent girl Pavalakodi, who later becomes a rebel in the second half after she gets her hands on an Austin Cambridge car,” explains the director. National Award winning actor Thambi Ramaiah plays Nayanthara’s dad in the film and Harish Uthaman will be seen as a cop.

Nayanthara plays a character called Pavalakodi in the film.

We also hear that there is an interesting cat and mouse game between Nayanthara and Harish Uthaman, which is said to be one of the major attractions of the film. Slated to release on March 31, Dora has been censored with ‘A’ certificate for its horror content.
