Savitri biopic: Pre-look poster of Mahanati released on Women’s Day
A pre-look poster of the upcoming biopic on the legendary Tamil actor Savitri, Mahanati, was released on the occasion of International Women’s Day. The film stars Keerthy Suresh and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
It is already known that director Nag Ashwin, popular for directing Yevade Subramanyam, is helming the biopic on legendary actor Savitri, and that it’s titled Mahanati.
Keerthy Suresh will play the popular veteran actor while her story will be narrated through the eyes of Samantha Ruth Prabhu. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the makers released the first glimpse of the film in the form of a poster, which has been well received and is already going viral.
With the film set to go on the floors later in 2017, Ashwin and the team are extremely busy with the pre-production work and finalising the rest of the cast. To be produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the film will be simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil. It could also be dubbed in Malayalam. The makers, according to reliable sources, are also in talks with Nivin Pauly to play a pivotal role in the film.
