Top seeds Mahesh Bhupathi and Australian Paul Hanley will open their campaign at the USD 525,000 Indianapolis Tennis Championships against Americans Andy Roddick and Mardy Fish.

If the Indo-Australian pair manages to win the tricky opener to be played later on Monday, they will take on the winners of the other first round clash between the American pair of Amer Delic-Justin Gimelstob and the Australian-American duo of Stephen Huss and Vincent Spadea.

Meanwhile, Sunil Kumar Sipaeya crashed out in the second round of singles qualifications, failing to make the main draw of the hard court event.

He lost to second seed Santiago Giraldo of Colombia 6-2, 4-6, 6-4. Sipaeya had beaten American Troy Hahn in the first round of the qualifying event.
