Commonwealth Games 2026 Highlights, Day 2: India wrapped up Day 2 of the 2026 Commonwealth Games on a high, ending the day's campaign with its first medal of the edition. The breakthrough came in the final event involving Indian athletes, as Jhandu Kumar claimed bronze in the men's heavyweight para powerlifting competition. He registered successful lifts of 181kg and 190kg before narrowly missing 196kg on his final attempt, with his 190kg effort proving enough for a podium finish. Earlier in the day, Indian athletes featured across boxing, lawn bowls, swimming and para powerlifting, but Jhandu's bronze ensured the contingent finished the day with a place on the medals table....Read More
