Bernie Parent dies at 80: All on wife Gini Gramaglia and children
Bernie Parent, the legendary NHL goaltender, passed away on Sunday at age 80. He married married Gini Gramaglia in July 2016. He has three children.
Bernie Parent, the legendary NHL goaltender known for back-to-back Stanley Cup wins with the Philadelphia Flyers in 1974 and 1975, passed away on Sunday at age 80.
“The Philadelphia Flyers and Ed Snider Youth Hockey & Education are heartbroken to learn of the passing of Bernie Parent, a true legend, one of the most famous and beloved players, and most popular figures in the history of the organization and city of Philadelphia,” Flyers announced in a statement on Sunday.
“Anyone who had the pleasure of being around Bernie always walked away with a smile. He will be dearly missed. We offer our condolences to his beloved wife, Gini, and the entire Parent family. In lieu of flowers, Bernie's family has kindly requested donations be made to Ed Snider Youth Hockey & Education.”

Bernie was married to Carol during his playing days in the 1970s. Their marriage ended in divorce. Bernie and Carol had three children together - a daughter and two sons.
He then married Gini Gramaglia in July 2016 in Avalon, New Jersey. She appeared with him at events like his 2019 Stanley Cup Day celebrations.

Bernie Parent's daughter, Kim Parent, has also made her mark. In 2020, following Philadelphia Flyers forward Oskar Lindblom’s cancer diagnosis, Kim helped launch the now-iconic "Oskar Strong" t-shirts to support him.
According to ABC 6, the shirts were originally designed for Flyers players as a show of solidarity during Lindblom’s treatment for Ewing sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer.
The initiative quickly gained momentum, and demand for the shirts grew across the hockey community and beyond.
