Skylar Thompson, a quarterback with the Pittsburgh Steelers, was robbed and attacked in Dublin, Ireland, ahead of Pittsburgh's Week 4 game against the Minnesota Vikings. He was assaulted while travelling to Dublin for Sunday's National Football League (NFL) game at Croke Park.
The incident resulted in minor injuries for Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Skylar Thompson. According to source, he did not need hospital care, The Irish Times reported.
Although he is on the team, Thompson is not anticipated to participate. He is now on the reserve team due to a hamstring injury on September 10.
As the NFL is expanding internationally, the Steelers will meet the Minnesota Vikings in Croke Park on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

Pittsburgh Steelers is “aware of a situation involving Skylar Thompson on Friday night in Dublin,” a representative informed NFL journalist Tom Pelissero.
They said that they are collaborating with NFL security to obtain additional information about the incident.
Pittsburgh has announced that Aaron Rodgers will serve as quarterback for the squad against Minnesota. Mason Rudolph will be the backup as they try to stop Justin Jefferson on Sunday, September 28.
Skylar Thompson injured: When did he join the Pittsburgh Steelers?
After playing for the Miami Dolphins for his first two NFL seasons, 28-year-old Thompson joined the Steelers this season.
He began three games as a rookie, including one in the playoffs, after being selected in the seventh round of the 2022 draft. He also made another start in his last season in Miami. He was selected for Pittsburgh's 53-man roster based on his impressive training camp performance.
