17 Naxalites killed in encounter in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur

The gunfight began at 9 am on Thursday in Bijapur forest and continued intermittently until late evening during an anti-Naxalite operation.

Two held from K’taka for extorting over 3 lakh from SoBo resident

The accused have been identified as Mohammed Ali Hidayatali Shaikh alias Soyeb, 22 and Salman Riyaz Hadnoor, 19. Shaikh is a resident of Vijaypur, while Hadnoor is from Bijapur, Karnataka.
