UK man, illiterate till age 18, becomes youngest black Cambridge professor

37-year-old Jason Arday has been appointed Professor of Sociology of Education at University of Cambridge, making history by becoming the youngest black person to teach at the institution.

Jason Arday, born and raised in south-west London's Clapham, was diagnosed with autism and couldn't read or write till the age of 18 years but defeated all odds to land this feat.(University of Cambridge)
