Pakistan to get bailout of $6bn from IMF over next 3 years

The final outcome was further delayed after Prime Minister Imran Khan objected to some of the stringent conditions by the IMF. The talks were extended to continue over the weekend and were capped on Sunday.

Pakistan issues order to seize assets of all banned outfits

The Pakistan government has issued an order to streamline a process for the implementation of sanctions against individuals and entities of all banned outfits as designated by the UN Security Council, the Foreign Office announced.

The UN Security Council (Freezing and Seizure) Order, 2019, has been issued in accordance with the provisions of Pakistan’s UN Security Council (UNSC) Act, 1948(Reuters)

Not concerned if India diverts water, says Pakistan

ndian’s announcement on Thursday comes in addition to other actions like withdrawal of the most favoured nation (MFN) to Pakistan and slapping of a 200 per cent duty on all imports from Islamabad in the wake of the February 14 Pulwama terror attack that killed 40 CRPF troopers.

In response to India’s decision to stop the flow of its share of water from the Beas, Ravi and Sutlej to Pakistan, Islamabad said that it was not concerned if New Delhi diverted water of the three eastern rivers.(PTI)

PM Modi to be invited by Pakistan to attend SAARC summit

The summit has not been held since 2016, when India decided to pull out of a summit to be hosted by Pakistan following a string of terror attacks. Since SAARC works by consensus, the summit could not be held.
