Floods in 3 Gujarat districts, over 9,000 shifted

Narmada above danger mark in Bharuch; 3,900 shifted in 3 days

The Narmada’s water level has gone past the 31 feet mark due to discharge of over 7 lakh cusec of water from the Sardar Sarovar Dam (SSD) upstream. The river was flowing at 31.25 feet, three feet above the danger mark of 28 feet, at Golden Bridge.

Heavy rain hits parts of Gujarat; Valsad records 203 mm over 10 hours

According to the world weather online, the rainfall recorded in the two towns on Sunday was more than the amount received in the entire month of June this year and almost similar to the rainfall recorded over the entire month of July last year.

6 drowned, 36 rescued as boat capsizes in Narmada river in Maharashtra’s Nandurbar

According to Nandurbar Police Control official Balasaheb Gaidhani, around 50 people boarded a boat and went into the river to perform Makar Sankaranti rituals when the tragedy struck.

No government money will be used to build Mother Cauvery project: Karnataka

The 1,200 crore project will include the structure dedicated to the River Cauvery, a museum complex, two glass towers measuring around 360 feet that will give a bird’s eye view of the reservoir, a bandstand, an indoor stadium and replicas of historical monuments aimed to boost tourism in the state.
