The US government announcement comes after China's intimidation to Taiwan by firing missiles into the sea after U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan becoming highest-ranking American official to visit the island in 25 years.

India had on Friday expressed concern at recent developments in the Taiwan Strait following US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to the self-governed island.
