Rakesh Sachan was held guilty two days ago in an Arms Act case lodged against him on August 13 1991 for possessing an illegal rifle. Soon after, Sachan allegedly run away court room with a copy of the order.

Supreme Court denies blanket stay on demolition drives

No duty for women from 7pm-6am without their consent, says UP govt

The government said that women employees will also be provided free transportation, food and sufficient supervision, if working between 6am and 7pm.

SIT to file charge sheet in 11 anti-Sikh riots cases in Kanpur

During three years of the probe, SIT identified 83 accused allegedly involved in murder, rioting, arson and loot in these cases. Verification revealed that 20 of the 83 accused had died.

Kanpur was the second worst-affected city after Delhi during the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. As many as 127 Sikhs were killed in Kanpur during the riots. The Uttar Pradesh government had formed the SIT in May 2019 on Supreme Court orders.
