Chemical effluents in water bodies worry Navi Mumbai residents
Residents of Nerul and Seawoods in Navi Mumbai are concerned about chemical factories releasing untreated effluents into nearby water bodies, causing pollution. The issue has been raised by residents in various areas of Navi Mumbai, but officials have shown little interest in addressing the problem.

Revamped Mehrauli monuments now open in Delhi
Lieutenant governor VK Saxena inaugurated six renovated monuments in Mehrauli Archaeological Park in Delhi, along with a restored water body and other amenities. The restoration work was undertaken jointly by stakeholders at a cost of ₹2.6 crore. Saxena said the revival of the water body would serve as a template for others in the city. Conservation work included repairs, strengthening, and fresco painting.

CM inaugurates projects worth ₹32cr in Gurugram
The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has rejuvenated a water body at Sikanderpur village, which was earlier filled with sewage and plastic. The chief minister inaugurated the water body and a railway overbridge connecting Basai Chowk to Dwarka Expressway. The 910-metre long, four-lane railway overbridge connecting arterial roads has been constructed at a cost of ?23 crore, while the water body was executed at a cost of ?9 crore. The GMDA has taken up seven major pond revival projects in collaboration with NGOs and four of these have been completed, said GMDA CEO Sudhir Rajpal.
