Gangster Chhota Shakeel's aide, Riyaz Bhati, has been booked for allegedly threatening a witness in an extortion case filed in Mumbai. The witness claims to have received a call from Bhati threatening dire consequences if he did not testify in Bhati's favor. The police are investigating the matter and have registered a case against Bhati, his son, and his friend.

Awadhesh Rai murder: U.P. Cong president appears before fast track court as informant

Congress president and former MLA Ajay Rai appeared before a court in Prayagraj in connection with the 1991 murder case of his brother. The main accused, former MLA Mukhtar Ansari, has already been sentenced to life imprisonment. The court has fixed October 10 for the next hearing due to the absence of a witness.

ED witness in Jharkhand illegal mining case turns hostile in court

Hansda, who had told ED that MLA representative of CM Soren, Pankaj Mishra, had threatened him of dire consequences after he raised voice against illegal mining, submitted before the court that Mishra never misbehaved with him or threatened him.
