A Pune-based man who went viral earlier this year for maintaining a detailed Excel spreadsheet to track prospective arranged marriage matches has finally found a partner. Vikas, a 29-year-old data analyst originally from Haryana, shared an update on Instagram, revealing that he spoke to around 55 women before finding "the one".
"I spoke to around 55 girls, had conversations, rejections, second thoughts, family discussions, and a lot of 'let's see.' I thought I was tracking matches. Turns out, I was tracking my way to the one," he wrote in the caption on the post.
In the video, Vikas showed the tracker he used to document his arranged marriage journey between November 2025 and July 2026. The spreadsheet included different categories to track the status of prospective matches, including "open", "closed", "on hold" and "talking".
The tracker also included feedback from the women and parents, along with notes on how conversations were progressing. Vikas tracked factors such as whether their values aligned, whether they had good conversations and whether there was a "strong vibe".
In the video, Vikas revealed that the woman he eventually chose was also among those he had been speaking to since November 2025. "Maine usse November 2025 se baat karna shuru kiya aur ab July mein jaake final kiya," Vikas said, adding that their conversations became increasingly positive at every stage.
He also showed a month-wise summary of his search. He shared that he spoke to around nine women each month during the initial phase. However, after April, he stopped exploring other matches and focused solely on the woman he eventually chose.
Vikas ended the video on a celebratory note, telling viewers that he had finally found his partner and jokingly urging others to find theirs soon too.

Vikas' organised approach to arranged marriage prompted several users to react to his update.
