Artificial Intelligence (AI) has made significant strides in recent years, enabling users to generate text, images, and more with just a few prompts. However, it still has its quirks, as highlighted by a recent viral post. A US woman named Braelyn took to X (formerly Twitter) to share her amusing yet baffling experience with AI image generation.

Braelyn posted a screenshot of her conversation with ChatGPT, in which she had asked, "Generate an image that represents what you know about me." To her surprise, the AI-generated image was of an Indian-looking man. Shocked by the unexpected result, she shared the screengrab with a caption: "What am I doing wrong with my life?"

Internet bursts into laughter

The post quickly gained traction, racking up over 250k views and sparking a flurry of reactions. Social media users were left amused and curious about how the AI ended up generating such an unrelated image. In the comments, Braelyn herself pointed out the details of the AI-generated image, saying, "Indian man with a beard and glasses."

One user quipped, "Maybe you’re secretly an Indian man in another timeline!" Another joked, "AI is trying to tell you something—time to check your ancestry."

Some users speculated about how the AI’s training data might have played a role in the bizarre result. "This is exactly why AI still needs human intervention. It just makes up stuff!" one user pointed out.

Others found humour in the randomness of AI’s response. "Imagine applying for a job and ChatGPT submits a picture of someone else on your behalf," a user laughed.

Some suggested it could be an issue with the model’s generalisation. "Maybe the AI thinks ‘Braelyn’ is a common Indian name. Who knows how these things work?"

Another user took a different angle, stating, "If AI can make these kinds of mistakes now, imagine the chaos when it’s used for serious applications!"

Meanwhile, a few users shared their own weird experiences with AI. "I once asked an AI to draw me as a superhero, and it made me a frog in a cape," one person revealed.
