In the last part of our 5-part special series on most popular American TV shows, we laugh together about how warm and funny Modern Family is.
If there is one thing on TV, apart from cricket and football, which brings the entire family together, it is “Modern Family.” When the show comes on TV, it’s not surprising to see everyone in the family sitting together, munching on popcorn and quietly giggling.
The show aired in 2009 and ever since then, it’s been one of the most watched and adored shows in the world. The premise of the show is the lives of three modern, different yet inter-related families and their adventures in bringing up their children. With its unique mockumentary style, where the characters talk into the camera, combined with a warm and witty sense of humour, makes this show appealing to viewers of all age groups. Its family centric storyline with adorable laugh out loud moments makes it a must-watch.
The show has such a strong connection with its viewers, that it has won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series in its first five seasons.
